Kimi Antonelli has become the youngest ever Formula 1 World Drivers Champion at the Mexico City Grand Prix. The 20 year old becomes Italy’s first champion since the 1950’s.
The young Italian takes the crown in his sophomore season, echoing the championship win of his one time mentor, Lewis Hamilton.
With eight wins (so far) to his name, Antonelli can still extend his record, but regardless becomes an F1 legend in the eyes of many - the first Mercedes champion in six years, and the first Italian in 73.
Bravo Kimi, grande. Ce l'hai fatta!
