Audi makes British driver Slater first junior signing

Audi have signed 17 year old British driver Freddie Slater to their newly formed ‘Audi Revolut F1 Team Driver Development Programme’, becoming their first F1 signing.


Slater joins the team ahead of the FIA Formula 3 season where he will race for back to back drivers championship winning side, Trident Racing.


He comes to the team highly rated and highly acclaimed with three feeder series titles under his belt (F4 UAE, Italian F4 & FREC) as well as winning races and taking podiums in many more series’.

Audi’s junior development programme director, Allan McNish served as a mentor to Slater and was spotted at multiple FREC races in 2025.
