Joshua Dürksen won on his Invicta Racing debut to win his second successive sprint race in Australia, repeating his AIX Racing heroics from 2025. Noel Leon on debut for Campos and newly signed Alpine Academy driver Alex Dunne rounded off the podium in a busy race.

Dürksen, who started second behind Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak took the lead early in the race and had a fairly comfortable performance leading at Albert Park as the race ramped up behind.

In the early phases the pack shuffled for position with the battle for third, fourth and fifth position hotly contested by a number of drivers. Further back, MP Motorsport’s Gabriele Míni moved from last to 10th early on before advancing to a battle for third with Dunne late one, the Italian making a mistake and settling for sixth.

After a crash in the F3 race for PREMA, the mechanic workload increased once more at the Italian team as Marí Boya went nose first into the barrier - cuing a mad dash to the pits for some drivers to attempt a charge on super soft tyres, but to no avail.
