Seewooruthun steps up to Formula 3 with Rodin Motorsport for 2027

Reza Seewooruthun will continue with Rodin Motorsport in 2027, stepping up to F3 with the team after a season in the Formula Regional European Championship. The British driver joins Brazilian Pedro Clerot, who has already been announced to retain his seat with Rodin. The Australian team now has confirmed two of its three drivers for its 2027 lineup.

Seewooruthun made the move from GB3 to FREC for 2026 and endured a more challenging campaign than the season before. He scored two podium finishes on his way to 16th in the final standings. However, The 18-year-old had enjoyed a finer 2025 campaign in GB3, finishing fifth in the championship with Argenti by Prema, taking victory at the Hungaroring and adding four further podium finishes across the season.

His 2026 campaign therefore represented something of a sideways step in results, but Rodin has been encouraged by the evolution he has shown throughout his sole season in FREC. That has now earned Seewooruthun the opportunity to move into F3 for 2027. 

“It’s great to see Reza continuing his development with the team as he steps up to FIA Formula 3,” said Rodin sporting director Benn Huntingford. “He’s shown some promising pace throughout his time in FREC and secured two podiums this season, which have been important milestones in his progression. We’re looking forward to building on that experience with him and seeing what he can achieve in F3.”
