Yevan David makes switch to Van Amersfoort for 2027

Yevan David will continue to race in FIA Formula 3 in 2027, making the switch to Dutch outfit Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) for his sophomore campaign in the series.
The Sri Lankan driver enjoyed an impressive campaign in 2026 after joining from a runner-up season in the Euroformula Open Championship, racing in F3 with AIX Racing - who have now old their assets to Lando Norris’ new LN4 Fusion entry for 2027.
David, 19, scored a single podium for AIX at Silverstone and impressed as the lead car for the team, ending his first season 18th overall in the F3 standings with numerous sure footed performances.
On signing for VAR David said: “Stepping into VAR for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 season feels like the right move at the right time”.
“The leadership team has a clear vision, proven experience and a competitive mindset that matches how I want to operate.
“I’m excited to learn from them, contribute to that culture and test myself against the strongest field in junior single-seaters. The challenge is big, but so is the opportunity. I’m ready to work, grow and deliver everything I can throughout the 2027 season”.
