Badoer, Nael & Yamakoshi are latest confirmed drivers for 2026 F3 season

Formula 3 continues to be one of the busiest series’ in the world, even during it’s offseason as teams put together their lineups for 2026. Brando Badoer, Theophile Nael and Hiyu Yamakoshi are the latest announced for drives with Rodin, Campos and Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR), respectively.


Badoer, 19, joins Rodin for his second Formula 3 season having represented PREMA in 2025. The Italian took a best result of sixth during the year and ended the season 25th in the standings in his rookie year after moving up from Formula Regional racing.

Nael, also a 2025 rookie, fared better racing for VAR, taking three podiums and an overall eight place finish. He’s switching to 2025 Teams Champions Campos Racing and will hope to be a title contender in his sophomore season.

Finally, Hiyu Yamakoshi will debut in the series with Van Amersfoort Racing, sticking with the team he is racing for in Formula Regional this season. In FRECA, he’s currently placed eight overall, with two podiums to his name and has also featured in selected rounds of the GB3 Championship.

The 2026 Formula 3 grid is now over a third complete.
