IndyCar’s all time record title winner Scott Dixon is to leave his Chip Ganassi Racing team at the end of the 2026 season. The 45 year old has raced for ‘CGR’ for 25 years but will not explore a new, unconfirmed opportunity.
Dixon debuted with CGR in 2003, and has won 6 championships, accompanied by 58 race wins, 143 podiums & 32 pole positions, the cherry on top being his 2008 Indy 500 win.

Monikered ‘The Iceman’, the veteran Aussie is known for his calm demeanour and chilled personality, and in previous seasons has made a habit of being a ‘right place, right time’ driver, continuously winning races, even while the series didn’t have him as the winningest driver in the season.
Rumours suggest he’ll sign with McLaren’s IndyCar outfit from 2027 but that news is unconfirmed at the time of writing.
