Turkey is once again on the F1 calendar from 2027, with Istanbul Park rejoining F1 for the first time since 2020 and 2021 saw the series visit in a temporary venue during the COVID 19 pandemic and lifting of restrictions surrounding it.

Turkey has long expressed its desire to be a full time F1 fixture again for the first time since 2011 after it hosted for seven seasons prior, and is now back on a five year deal through 2031.

In it’s short history, the circuit has thrown up plenty unknowns including a teammate collision between Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel for Red Bull, pole position for Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton being crowned world champion for the seventh and most recent time.

"As a city, Istanbul represents a cultural gateway between Europe and Asia, offering a unique blend of history and tradition with a forward-thinking approach to sport, business, and entertainment."

The circuit returns alongside Portimao, while Zandvoort drops out as Barcelona and Spa become biannual events.
