Pourchaire to make a single seater return in formula E with Opel

Théo Pourchaire has signed a deal to race in Formula E next season, marking his return to single seater racing for the first time since 2024. The 2023 Formula 2 champion has signed with new entry Opel.

The French racer enjoyed a stellar junior career with Sauber affiliation, fighting for titles in each category he raced, culminating in his F2 crown in 2022. From there, outings in Super Formula and IndyCar failed to see him secure a permanent single seater race despite a strong showing in IndyCar, McLaren favoured Le Mans LMP2 winner Nolan Siegel.

A two season stint racing in the World Endurance Championship saw him stay in the racing world and alongside that, Mercedes signed the 22 year old as a development driver at the start of this year.

His teammate has not yet been announced, but rumours suggest current Formula E championship leader Mitch Evans will join forces with Pourchaire and Opel.
