Nakamura Berta announced as 2027 F3 driver with Trident

British driver Kean Nakamura Berta will race in FIA Formula 3 in 2027 after he was announced by Italian side, Trident Motorsport.
The Williams Junior is continuing his steady rise, having won the Italian F4 and Euro4 titles in 2025, graduating to Formula Regional for the 2026 season where he ended the season third overall; 19 points behind champion Emanuele Olivieri and eight behind vice-champion Sebastian Wheldon - son of the late Dan Wheldon - who he is rumoured to be joined by as teammate in 2027.
Trident have been a central force in F3 over the last few seasons, providing three of the last four champions - with all three going on to have notable opportunities with F1 teams, notably Gabriel Bortoleto who is now with Audi.
“I’m pleased to be stepping up to F3 with Trident while still having the ongoing support of the Williams F1 Team Driver Academy,” said Nakamura-Berta.
Team Manager Giacomo Ricci: “We are extremely pleased to announce the arrival of Kean Nakamura-Berta at TRIDENT Motorsport for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 Championship season. Kean is a driver we have known and followed for some time, and he has demonstrated he has all the qualities needed to take this important step. His journey, from karting to Formula Regional, has been marked by constant growth and impressive results. It will be a pleasure to begin this collaboration and work together to best prepare for such an important campaign.“
