Mercedes Formula One have revealed their 2026 car, the W17 ahead of the "biggest technical shakeup in the sport's history". The livery features the iconic Mercedes colour scheme of black, silver and green but new graphics on the engine covers could be a potential nod to the Adidas partnership.

Toto Wolff, Mercedes CEO and Team Principal said:

“Formula 1 will undergo significant change in 2026, and we are prepared for that transition

"The new regulations demand innovation and absolute focus across every area of performance.

"Our work on the new car, and the long-term development of the Power Unit and advanced sustainable fuels with Petronas, reflects that approach.

He also stated:

"Releasing the first images of the W17 is simply the next step in that process.

"It represents the collective, sustained effort of our teams in [their Power Unit base in] Brixworth and [chassis base in] Brackley. We will continue to push hard in the months ahead."

The new livery comes just one day after Mercedes announced Doriane Pin as their new Development Driver, following her F1 Academy title win with the Brackley- based team.

Next week, (26/01-30/01) Mercedes will join all of the other Formula One teams in Barcelona for a shakedown of the new cars.

On February 2nd, Mercedes will host an official season launch event with their drivers, senior personnel and the W17.

Official pre-season testing is in Bahrain from February 11th to 13th, and February 18th until 20th.
