David Malukas has signed a multi year deal with Team Penske to replace Will Power who has signed with Andretti. The American-Lithuanian driver joins Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden at the team.
Malukas joins the team from AJ Foyt, having been long rumoured as Penske’s first choice to replace Will Power.
23 year old Malukas made his IndyCar debut in 2023 with Dale Coyne Racing and remained with ‘DCR’ through 2023 before signing with McLaren for 2024, though he would break his wrist in a cycling accident pre season and was released by the papaya team before he raced for them, replaced by F2 Champion Théo Pourchaire, then incumbent Nolan Siegel.

The same year, he was handed a part season with Meyer Shank Racing where he impressed again, picking up exactly where he’d left off, and grabbing the attention of AJ Foyt Racing, where he raced in the 2025 finishing 11th in the season standings.

Malukas’ key battle first on his hands will be challenging his multi race winning teammates Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden.
