Chris McCarthy on what it means to him to be doing a second Purple Sectors event: “It means a huge amount to be doing Purple Sectors again you know first off it just started as a an idea to to the charity so to complete it last year with the numbers we had in the room was was overwhelming.
I never expected for it to have the success it did. To to now be doing it this year and and have the you know the the driver lineup we have, is really something I can imagined to be having these these team captains, huge names in the industry coming to this event that, as you know, I once just was once just an idea for me, and to have all the attention coming into the event is a true privilege for me and I just can't wait to do it, and can't wait to get everyone back in that room and spread a message, once again”.
On what he is most excited about this time: “I mean the thing that excites me most is you know it is honestly the the the Youth Voice Network members that we've been working with that are going to help us broadcast the event. I think we've worked with a a small team of them. Four of them in particular. And they're going to help broadcast the event and I can't wait to see them in action. They're going to be out in the gallery, in the commentary box, on camera and then also driving.
We've got another we're going to have a Young Epilepsy team once again this year of young members and I can't wait to to see them in action and see them get their opportunity to help both compete in the event and help broadcast the event and what that will then do for their careers going forward. So I think that's what I'm most excited about. That's what Purple Sectors is about. It's not just a race. It's about providing opportunities for young people and yeah, that's the thing that excites me most”.
A special shoutout to our very own Tilly Measures who will be taking part in the creator race before the main event!
