Hot on the heels of Colton Herta’s bombshell (we all coming) switch from IndyCar to F1, Andretti have opted to replace him with vastly experienced Will Power.

Australian star Power leaves Team Penske after an 18 year association with the team, an association that yielded two championships, 43 wins, 102 podiums and 65 poles, an Indy 500 win accompanied by dizzying highs and stomach churning lows.

In signing Power, Andretti have acted astutely and signed a driver who can join the team and fill the shoes of Herta, and do the job of challenging for race wins and titles.

Power splits opinion amongst fans - as much as he is a legend of the series, his petulance and attitude has been well known to get the better of him on many occasions.

As always, the rumour mill is in full swing and Power is the first piece of a long and convoluted puzzle that will complete itself in the coming months.
