Salvador de Alba will return to Indy NXT for the 2026 season, his third in the series and has signed with HMD Motorsports.
The Mexican driver finished the 2025 season fifth overall, taking his maiden win in the series at the penultimate round at the Milwaukee Mike circuit.

The 26 year old will line up alongside three series rookies with HMD as he switches from Andretti Global; former FRECA driver Jack Beeton, multiple F2 race winner Enzo Fittipaldi and Euroformula Open Championship champion, Tymek Kucharczyk.
“The past two seasons in INDY NXT have been a tremendous learning experience, and I’m excited to begin a new chapter with HMD Motorsports,” commented de Alba. “I gained strong momentum toward the end of last season, and I’m eager to carry that into 2026. The team has already shown incredible dedication to my success, and I’m grateful for all the support that’s helped me get here. Together, we’ll keep pushing towards INDYCAR.” - de Alba speaking on his news.
