Dobson joins 2026 F1 Academy grid

Ava Dobson will be joining the F1 Academy grid full-time in 2026, taking the next step in her racing career.

The American driver impressed during her Wild Card appearance at the Miami round in which she secured the best result for a Wildcard in the 2025 season, and will now join the series with American Express in the Hitech TGR operated car.

Dobson comes from a strong background and has raced in several junior single-seater championships including the GB4 Championship.

Her move to F1 Academy reflects her continued development and the series’ focus on promoting young female talent.

The F1 Academy season gets underway in Shanghai at the second Formula 1 round of the season.
