Kucharczyk makes move stateside after Euroformula success

Polish driver Tymek Kucharczyk will race in America in 2026 after being announced by HMD Motorsport for an Indy NXT campaign.

The 19 year old Pole took the Euroformula Open Championship title in stunning fashion on the final race weekend and has teased for some weeks his future may well lie in America and that has now been confirmed.

Kucharczyk tested Indy NXT machinery towards the end of the 2025 season but had also been rumoured to have tested Formula 2 machinery with view to racing in the series but has now opted to go to the United States.

In the 2025 Euroformula season he took five wins and 13 podiums as he became the first non-Motopark driver to win the Euroformula title since Yifei Ye in 2020.
