Mitch Evans makes switch to Opel for 26/27 Formula E season

Formula E legend Mitch Evans will race for new entry Opel GSE in the 2026/27 season, departing Jaguar TCS after 10 seasons for a new venture.

The New Zealander has won 16 races in the series with 36 total podiums to his name, falling short of the drivers title twice and ending up as vice champion.

The 32 year old has provided some of the series’ biggest ever moments, including a stunning win in Monaco in 2024, locking out the podium in São Paulo with then teammate Sam Bird in 2023 and a heartbreaking start line failure and unavoidable accident with Edoardo Mortara in Berlin when fighting for the title in 2021.

Evans will line up alongside former Formula 2 Champion and series rookie, Théo Pourchaire.
