Max Verstappen will be a Red Bull driver through to the end of the 2030 season the team has announced.

The Dutch driver had been linked with moves across the grid to McLaren and Mercedes or even a retirement from F1 altogether but has now committed his long term future to the Milton Keynes team.

His stint with Red Bull so far has mustered 71 wins, 131 podiums, 48 pole positions and four World Drivers Championship titles.

It’s expected he’ll be partnered once again by Isack Hadjar next season, with the French driver continuing to impress so far this season.

Laurent Mekies, Red Bull Team Principal:

“Having Max continue with us and retaining the best driver on the grid is fantastic news for everyone at Red Bull, Oracle Red Bull Racing, as well as F1 and motorsport as a whole.”

Verstappen: “I am really pleased with the contract extension. We have the best people and I’m excited to keep working together with everyone to get back to the top again. This remains the ultimate goal that all of us have been working towards and will continue to pursue. I want to thank Red Bull, Laurent and everyone at Oracle Red Bull Racing for the trust they put in me.”
