René Rosin and the rest of the Rosin family have left PREMA Racing it has been announced. At this stage it appears related to speculation that the Italian team may leave the IndyCar Series after just one season.
Founded by Angelo Rosin in 1983, René Rosin has largely run PREMA since 2006, serving as Team Manager, as well working as Managing Director of the team since mid-2021, but now a change is expected at the top as the family depart.
Having overseen great success in feeder series racing, notably in Italian F4, FREC, F3 and F2, René Rosin led PREMA’s team to an IndyCar entry for 2025.

Despite initially struggling, PREMA - with former F2 drivers Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman driving for them - found their feet, albeit as a team at the rear of the field but made of the stories of the season as Shwartzman took a rookie pole position from seemingly nowhere at the Indy 500.

The Italians would struggle for more big results but almost immediately as the season ended, rumours appeared over the future of the team, and a quick sale was expected but is yet to go through.
At the time of writing, PREMA are expected to lineup on the grid for the season opener, but it remains to be seen exactly how secure the entry is, despite owning a mass of assets, including six chassis’ including one purchased from Abel Motorsports at the end of 2025.
With the news that the entire family is set to depart, there is no word on what it means for their feeder series teams.
